Student Wins Prestigious Internship

James Davies, first year PhD student in the group has been awarded a six month internship through the Alun Turing Institute.

James will join Accenture Labs in Dublin Ireland to undertake a placement using Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Large Language Models in the field of drug discovery after a competitive application process.

Placement title – “Generative AI for Drug Discovery"

James will gain valuable skills and experience which he will use for the rest of his phD.
